and will plant 10,000 trees
Couromoda keeps abreast of all world issues and anticipates actions, developing also a work involving good socio-environmental practices. At the 2007 edition, the fair promoted the recycling and reusing of 175 tons of residues coming from the fair accomplishment and promoted neutralization of carbon of the event, by means of planting 1,000 trees in São Paulo. It became then the first sustainable trade fair of Brazil.
Now, to celebrate 35 years, Couromoda is launching a great campaign aiming
at planting 10,000 trees in São Paulo. The project will involve exhibitors,
suppliers and retailers visitors of the fair, motivating these companies to join
Couromoda in the trees planting and to contribute for the preservation of the
forests, improvement of the air quality and of the life quality.
The fair will also open space for feature of many socio-environmental projects
maintained by companies of the leather and shoes chain, adding value to their
initiatives and enlarging the repercussion of their activities.
