| 05/10/2007 Meeting point of the sector in Latin America The trade is a two-way street and Couromoda is acknowledged by the leading world brands as an excellent approach channel to Brazil and Latin America consumer market. Many of these top brands are interested in the strong ties that Couromoda has built with the Brazilian footwear retail market, highly pulverized in a continental size country. Every edition of the fair reaches some 34,000 retail companies, totaling almost 70 thousand professional visits. Last January, Couromoda presented a 9% increase in the number of visitors and 4% more business than the previous edition, totaling US$ 2.6 billion. In addition to promoting launchings of the new collections and generating sales that influence more than 90 days of the market, Couromoda acts also as a major updating and enhancing forum of the sector. Manufacturers, agents, distributors, retailers from Brazil and Latin America meet in São Paulo to discover what is new and what will be new in the shoe world. “Much more than simply business, the fair generates quality information that fosters business deals”, emphasizes Francisco Dos Santos, CEO and founder of the fair. And even stronger in 2008 The 35th edition of Couromoda will take place from January 14th to 17th, spread over the whole Anhembi Exhibition Center, in São Paulo/Brazil. All planning and arrangements aim at showing an even more sales-oriented fair, more globalized and innovative. All along the second semester, Couromoda is developing a promotional campaign for the Brazilian retail market, as well as reinforcing its presence in added value market niches, with actions in leading fairs in the United States and Europe, as well as intense work in Latin America. |
